One click gets the transcript, captions or a summary of the video you're watching — read, copy or export it in JotVox.

JotVox pulls the text out of the video you're watching. Open a video, click the JotVox icon, and the video's link is carried straight into JotVox, where you get a timestamped transcript you can read, copy or export. WHAT YOU GET - Existing captions when the video has them — free, no account needed - AI transcription of the audio when it doesn't — accurate across many languages - Export as TXT, SRT, VTT or MP3 - AI summaries: takeaways, chapters, quotes and a timeline WHERE IT WORKS JotVox works across major video, social and podcast sites — including YouTube, TikTok and Instagram — plus a range of platforms most transcript tools don't cover. If a page has a video, it's worth a try. THREE WAYS TO USE IT - Click the toolbar icon on a video page - Right-click a page or a link and choose "Get a transcript with JotVox" - Press Alt+Shift+J HOW IT WORKS This extension doesn't read the page, record anything, or transcribe on its own. When you click it, it reads the address of the current tab and opens JotVox with that link. All transcription happens on jotvox.app. It can't reach video you can't reach yourself — private, login-gated, region-locked or deleted media. PRIVACY The extension collects nothing and has no access to your browsing history or page content. It only opens the link you ask it to.
