Chatos Browser Bridge

Connect explicitly shared Chrome tabs to the local Chatos Browser CDP service.

Chatos Browser Bridge is the official Chrome companion extension for the locally installed Chatos Browser CDP service. It connects browser tabs explicitly shared by the user to Chatos so that authorized tasks can inspect and operate those pages. Key features: • Explicit tab sharing The extension does not automatically control every browser tab. The user must connect the extension and explicitly share the current tab through the extension popup. • Page inspection Authorized Chatos tasks can inspect the visible content, document structure, links, and runtime state of a shared page to answer questions, verify page behavior, or complete a user-requested task. • Page interaction The extension supports user-requested browser operations such as navigation, clicking, text input, and scrolling within explicitly shared or task-created tabs. • Task tab management A Chatos task can create and close its own tabs. Tabs created by the same task can be organized into a named native Chrome tab group. Existing user-shared tabs are not automatically moved into that group. • Developer and network diagnostics At the user’s request, the extension can provide access to console output, network requests, WebSocket activity, page runtime information, and supported Chrome DevTools Protocol events. These capabilities are intended for web testing, troubleshooting, and development workflows. Requirements: Chatos Browser Bridge requires the locally installed Chatos Browser CDP service and does not operate as a standalone browser automation product. The extension communicates with the local service through Chrome Native Messaging and an authenticated loopback connection on 127.0.0.1. How to use: 1. Install and start the Chatos Browser CDP service. 2. Install and enable the Chatos Browser Bridge extension. 3. Open the extension popup and connect to the local service. 4. Open the page you want to work with and explicitly share the current tab. 5. Start a browser inspection or interaction task in Chatos. 6. Revoke the shared tab or disconnect the bridge when finished. Privacy and security: • Only tabs explicitly shared by the user, plus tabs created by the active task, can be controlled. • Privileged Chrome pages, extension management pages, and local URL schemes cannot be shared. • Users can revoke access to an individual tab, disconnect the bridge, or uninstall the extension at any time. • The extension contains no advertising, behavioral analytics, or remotely hosted executable code. • User data is not sold or used for advertising, credit decisions, or unrelated profiling. • Page data is handled only as necessary to provide browser inspection, interaction, and diagnostic features requested by the user.
