It seems like the extension gets screwed up when used on two Chromium browsers on the same computer. It kept asking me to rename that Join instance, even though I named the two browser extension's instances “Chrome” and “Thorium.” The rename prompt kept persisting. Something to look into... Originally used it bought it but then somehow I never used it because I found it to be too cumbersome. Also I needed less and less rely on SMS (one of the reasons why I got it originally) and didn't work reliably for Clipboard Sharing, Remote Writing, Taking Screenshots on Devices and sending files. So while I am not too happy about reading that now it would be removed due to not being MV3 compliant, it'd be a loss for those who were using it as paying customers. Hopefully the dev won't drop ... Amazing extension, I use it multiple times every single day to send Chrome tabs on my phone to my desktop computer at home for me to check out later. I also use it to easily transfer small files to and from my phone. I really, really hope they are able to update it to support MV3.

Been using Join chrome and android for years. very happy with it. But: Since last Chrome update join extension says: This extension may soon no longer be supported Remove or replace it with similar extensions from the Chrome Web Store BTW was wondering for the Android Join App if you would want to put in an option for us to force enable the 'monitor clipboard' switch? having lots of issues. For some reason when I run the test diagnostics from my chrome browser, it doesn't get through it.

When copying text in Chrome on the computer, the clipboard syncs properly with the phone. However, every time I copy something, a desktop notification on the computer shows ""Error Direct Send, Requested entity was not found."" Reinstalling Join on both the phone and Chrome did not fix the issue. 😢

Join was never 100% reliable, but it used to work pretty well most of the time, and when it worked, it was awesome. However, it stopped working for me for SMS months ago, and I never figured out how to get it working again. I wrote the the Dev and never got a response, so I've given up and uninstalled it. Even when it worked, it took a fair amount of effort to get it set up. Not to say this is the dev's fault - I'm sure changes to Windows and android have made this difficult. There are ... Show more

I'm usually pretty long-winded in my reviews, whether for an extension or otherwise. However, in the case of Join by Joãoapps, this isn't necessary, as it's in a league all by itself with effectively 0 competition. The only tool I use that even comes close to the utility I get from Join is KDE Connect, but there are fundamental differences between both and therefore really shouldn't be compared, but simply allowed to compliment one another, which they do nicely.
