Overview
Join your meetings from anywhere, on your own laptop. Your work laptop stays in the call; you appear from the one you have with you.
Join From Anywhere lets you take part in a meeting that has to run on one laptop while you sit at another. Your work laptop (the Host) stays in the call with the meeting open. The laptop you have with you (the Client) sends its camera and microphone to the Host, where the meeting sees "Join From Anywhere Camera" and "Join From Anywhere Microphone" like any other device. The meeting's audio plays on your Client, so you hear everyone and answer as if you were at your desk. WHO IT IS FOR • You are travelling and the meeting has to run on the managed laptop at your desk. • You split your week between two places and would rather leave the meeting machine where it is. • Your VPN, compliance tools or software licences only exist on one device. HOW IT WORKS 1. Install on your work laptop and sign in. That laptop becomes your Host and shows a short code. 2. Install on the laptop you have with you and sign in with the same account. It becomes your Client. Pick your Host from the list, or type its code. 3. Press Go live on the Client. In the meeting on the Host, choose Join From Anywhere as the camera and microphone. WHAT YOU GET • Your camera and microphone from the other laptop, with mute and camera-off like any call. • The meeting's audio on your Client, with its own volume and mute. Take it from the meeting tab, or from the whole system so it also works with the Zoom and Teams desktop apps. • When your Client is not live, the meeting sees a plain grey camera tile, so nobody is misled about whether you are there. • A direct, encrypted connection between your two laptops. If the direct path is poor, the extension switches to a nearby relay on its own, and it reconnects after network blips. Both devices show the connection quality. • Works with Google Meet, Microsoft Teams and Zoom in Chrome. There is nothing to install on the meeting side. • A diagnostics panel with a one-click report you can send to support. PRIVACY Audio and video travel between your two devices over WebRTC with DTLS-SRTP encryption. When a direct connection is impossible, the encrypted packets pass through a relay that cannot read them. We do not record anything, and no media passes through our storage. We keep your email address, your device names and your billing records. Full policy: https://joinfromanywhere.com/legal/privacy PRICING Every account starts with 15 free minutes. After that, meetings use credits. 1 credit is 1 US dollar, and a meeting uses 25 credits an hour, billed per minute and only while your Client is live. You can also subscribe for unlimited meetings on one Host laptop for 30 days. Client laptops are always free.
