AWS Account Sentinel
Overview
Identifies AWS environments, highlights account context, and records approved-access justifications.
AWS Account Sentinel adds a clear visual safety layer to the AWS Management Console so you can tell which account and environment you are working in before making a change. Key features: - Color-coded borders on AWS Console pages, with separate widths for the top, right, bottom, and left edges. - A compact account and environment label that remains visible while you work. - Ordered, user-configurable regular-expression rules for PROD, UAT, SIT, DEV, sandbox, account aliases, or exact account IDs. - Optional access-reason gates for sensitive environments. - Quick validity choices of one day, three days, or one week, plus a custom expiration date and time. - A local access-history view with CSV export and clear-history controls. - A toolbar badge and popup showing the currently detected environment. - No analytics, advertising, remote servers, or data sales. Account Sentinel reads only the visible account context needed to provide its user-facing safety features. Settings are stored with Chrome Sync. Access-reason records remain in local Chrome extension storage and are never transmitted by the extension. Important: Account Sentinel is a visual, browser-side aid. It does not replace AWS IAM, organizational approval processes, change controls, or independent account verification. AWS is a trademark of Amazon.com, Inc. This extension is an independent tool and is not affiliated with or endorsed by Amazon Web Services
