JobNinja uses AI to tailor your existing resume to a specific job description, one job at a time, so every application looks purpose-built without you rewriting it from scratch. FEATURES • Reads a job description from the page or pasted text and matches it against your resume, LaTeX, DOCX, or Google Doc • Suggests specific bullet edits to match the job's keywords — only using skills and experience already in your resume • Flags any skill the job asks for that your resume doesn't support, so you can confirm it applies to you before it's added • Scores your resume against the job description so you can see your match improve as you edit • Generates a cover letter, interview prep notes, and short referral messages you can send to your contacts • Keeps your name, contact info, dates, titles, and companies locked so tailoring never changes your facts • Works with your own AI provider key (Google Gemini, Groq, OpenRouter, or a local model) — you control which service processes your resume HOW TO USE 1. Open a job posting on a supported job site, or paste a job description into the side panel 2. Upload or connect your resume (LaTeX, DOCX, or Google Doc) 3. Review the suggested edits — accept, reject, or tweak each one 4. Export your tailored resume, or generate a cover letter and referral message for the same job PRIVACY Your resume and the job description are sent only to the AI provider you choose, using an API key you supply and control. JobNinja does not run its own servers and does not collect or sell your data. Your resume content and settings are stored in your browser and, for small settings only, synced through your Chrome account if you're signed in. PERMISSIONS • "Read and change data on supported job sites" — needed to detect job descriptions on the page and, on LinkedIn, to help you draft referral messages to people in your network. • Side panel and storage — needed to show the tailoring workspace and save your resume and preferences on your device.
