JobHawk - Job Alerts for Upwork Scans the Upwork job feed every 30 seconds, applies ultra filters, and fires instant sound + desktop alerts. No AI, Just speed. • Productivity → Workflow & Planning • Language: English Detailed description: Stop refreshing Upwork. Start winning jobs. On Upwork, the first 5 proposals win most contracts. JobHawk watches the job feed for you every 30 seconds and fires an instant desktop notification + sound the moment a job matching YOUR criteria drops. Click the alert, land on the job page, apply before the crowd. WHY JOBHAWK ⚡ Speed first — new matching jobs trigger an alert within seconds, even while you work in another app. No email delays. 🎯 Ultra filters Upwork doesn't give you: • Payment-verified clients only • Minimum client spend (e.g. only clients who spent $1,000+) • Minimum client rating (e.g. 4.5★+) • Must-contain / must-NOT-contain keywords ("wordpress" but not "design") • Exclude agency-targeted posts. 🔔 Real alerts — desktop notification + beep. Click → job opens in a new tab. Recent matches list inside the popup. 🔒 Private by design — no AI, no servers, no tracking. Your data never leaves your browser. JobHawk simply reads the same search results your own logged-in session already sees. 🆓 Free during beta. HOW IT WORKS 1. Install and set your keywords + ultra filters. 2. Keep Chrome running (a logged-in Upwork session gives the richest client data). 3. Get pinged the second a matching job is posted. Apply first. Note: JobHawk is an independent tool and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Upwork Global Inc. "Upwork" is a trademark of Upwork Global Inc. Single purpose statement (Privacy tab) Alerts freelancers instantly when new Upwork job posts match their saved filters. Permission justifications (Privacy tab) • alarms: Runs the periodic 30-second job scan cycle in the background. • storage: Saves the user's filter settings, seen-job IDs and local match history on the device. • notifications: Shows a desktop alert when a new job matches the user's filters. • offscreen: Plays a short alert sound; MV3 service workers cannot play audio directly. • scripting: Re-injects the extension's own reader script into an already-open Upwork tab after an extension update, so scanning keeps working without a browser restart. • Host permission (https://www.upwork.com/*): Reads the user's own Upwork job search results page to detect newly posted jobs. The extension only reads what the user's session can already see and modifies nothing on Upwork. Data usage disclosures (Privacy tab) • Does NOT collect any user data. All processing is local. → check "No, I do not collect user data" equivalents; certify no sale/transfer. • Remote code: none. All code ships inside the package. Privacy policy URL Host store-assets/privacy-policy.html publicly and paste its URL here. Free options: GitHub Pages, Netlify Drop (drag folder → instant URL), Cloudflare Pages. Screenshots (required, 1280x800 PNG, 1-5 items) 1. Popup with filters filled + Recent Matches visible (open chrome-extension://<EXT_ID>/popup.html in a full tab, zoom to fill, crop 1280x800). 2. Desktop notification moment (trigger a match, screenshot notification over Upwork page). 3. Optional: Ultra Filters card close-up with caption "Filters Upwork doesn't offer".
