Job Application Tracker
Overview
Log job applications from any job site and find them again later.
Short summary (132 characters max): Log job applications in one click. AI reads the posting; everything stays local. Bring your own API key. Full description: Never lose track of a job application again. Job Application Tracker turns any job posting into a saved record with a single click, replacing the spreadsheet of copied titles and the guesswork about which jobs got applied to weeks ago. How it works Click the extension icon on any job posting. It reads the page, pulls out the title, company, location, employment type, and full job description, and shows the result before saving anything. Confirm or edit, then save. Data stays local Everything is stored in a real database that runs entirely inside the browser (Postgres, compiled to WebAssembly), with no account to create and no server in the middle. Applications live in the browser profile rather than syncing to a company database. -- Bring your own AI -- Extraction runs on an AI provider connected directly, Google Gemini or Groq*, using a personal API key. Requests go straight from the browser to the provider selected, with no data collected. A snapshot, not just a link Job postings get edited or taken down all the time. Each save can capture a full snapshot of the page as it looked at the time of applying, preserving a record of exactly what was there, downloadable any time from the application's detail view. A dashboard built for actually tracking a job search Search across title, company, location, employment type, and description, including partial matches. Filter by status: applied, OA, interviewing, offer, rejected, withdrawn. Sort any column, ascending or descending, with one click. Applications are numbered in the order applied, oldest to newest. Edit any field after the fact, or remove an entry entirely. Employment type (full-time, intern, contract, part-time, and more) is classified automatically, and locations from every job board format are normalized into one consistent form. Built for the job hunt, not around it Signing up isn't part of the flow, and neither are upsells or ads. Setting an API key in Settings is the only setup involved. *Using the free tier Google Gemini from Google AI Studio is **highly** recommended, and is more than sufficient. Paid tier may be needed for Groq due to token rate limits. And a free-tier AI API from Google is definitely more than adequate!
