CareTrack Quick Open

See the CareTrack remote-monitoring record for the patient open in your EHR. Works with athenahealth.

CareTrack Quick Open puts a patient's CareTrack remote patient monitoring (RPM) record beside their chart in your EHR, so you never leave the chart to check readings. Built for clinical and administrative staff at practices that use CareTrack RPM. It currently works with athenahealth's athenaNet. HOW IT WORKS • Open a patient in athenaNet. The extension reads the patient's medical record number from the on-screen banner and loads that patient's CareTrack record in Chrome's side panel: latest readings, 30-day averages, trends, alerts and device status. • Switch patients in athenaNet and the panel follows. Close the chart and the panel clears. • The panel header always shows the athenaNet patient and MRN it detected; the CareTrack record below shows its own patient ID. If they ever disagree, a red "Check patient" bar appears and no data is shown until they match. • If athenaNet has two different patients on screen at once, the panel shows "More than one patient on screen" instead of guessing. • "Open in tab" jumps to the full CareTrack portal for the same patient. REQUIREMENTS • A CareTrack account issued by your practice • Your practice must use athenaNet • Google Chrome (or a Chromium-based browser with side panel support) PRIVACY AND SECURITY • Reads pages on athenanet.athenahealth.com only, and only to find the patient banner and MRN. It does not read clinical content from athenaNet. • Sends the MRN only to the CareTrack portal (my.caretrack.com), which is where your practice's CareTrack account already lives. • Patient identifiers are held in memory-only session storage for the current tab and are never written to disk. • Every patient record opened through the extension is written to CareTrack's patient access audit log with the user, time and client, to support HIPAA audit controls. • Diagnostic telemetry is sent to CareTrack's monitoring vendor (Datadog, under a Business Associate Agreement) to detect detection or sign-in failures. It includes identifiers such as the MRN and user ID but never patient names or clinical values. • No advertising, no third-party analytics, no data sales. • Full notice: https://my.caretrack.com/extension/privacy FOR PRACTICE IT The extension supports Chrome Enterprise policy deployment (ExtensionInstallForcelist) and requires a cookie allowance for [*.]caretrack.com so the side panel keeps its sign-in.
