Redax
Overview
Redacts IDs, GUIDs, secrets, and PII on screen. All processing stays local.
Redax hides sensitive information on your screen so you can share, present, and record without leaking anything. It finds and blacks out (or blurs) sensitive values as soon as they appear on the page: - IDs: GUIDs and UUIDs, with or without hyphens and braces - Secrets: API keys and access tokens from popular cloud and developer platforms, JSON Web Tokens, database connection strings, private key blocks, passwords in URLs, labeled secrets such as "password: ...", and long random-looking strings that are likely keys - Personal information: email addresses, phone numbers, SSN-format numbers, and credit card numbers (checked so ordinary numbers aren't hidden) Built for screen sharing and demos - Works on dynamic apps like cloud consoles, dashboards, and admin portals, including content that loads after the page does - Covers text inside form fields without changing what you typed - Black bar or blur style - Turn each category or individual detector on or off - Pause it on specific sites - Toggle it instantly with a keyboard shortcut - Optional hover-to-peek to check a hidden value Private by design Redax runs only on sites you choose. It asks for access when you enable it on a site, not at install. Everything happens locally in your browser. Redax makes no network requests and never collects, stores, or sends page content.
