TabCellar – Tab Backup & Session Saver
Overview
Save, back up and restore your tabs in one click. Automatic snapshots you can roll back, plus one-step OneTab import.
Never lose your saved tabs again. TabCellar is a tab backup and session saver. It saves your open tabs into tidy groups, keeps automatic snapshots as you go, and lets you roll back to any restore point from the last 7 days with one click. Imports from OneTab in seconds. Everything stays on your computer. WHAT YOU GET • One-click save – click the toolbar icon and the tabs in your current window are saved as a group and closed. Pinned tabs and browser pages are left alone. • Save all windows – collapse every window from the manager page. • Restore whole groups or single tabs – restoring never deletes anything unless you turn that option on. • Automatic backups – a saved copy is made after every change, plus a periodic check in the background. Copies are kept for 7 days. • One-click rollback – deleted a group by mistake? Go back to any restore point. Rolling back is itself saved as a restore point, so you can undo it too. • Previous session – if your browser closed or crashed, the tabs you had open are listed so you can restore them. (A setting lets you switch this off; doing so deletes what was kept.) • Import from OneTab – paste your OneTab export and keep your groups and titles. • Export anytime – JSON (can be re-imported) or plain text in OneTab format. A good way to keep your own copy outside the browser. • Search – find any saved tab by title or address. • Big groups are safe – restoring more than 50 tabs at once asks first, and only the first tab is brought to the front. MOVING FROM ONETAB (3 steps) 1. In OneTab, open "Export / Import URLs" and copy the text. 2. In TabCellar, open the manager page, click Import and paste it. 3. Click Import – your groups appear in the list. PRIVACY TabCellar works entirely on your device. It does not connect to the internet, has no account, and does not collect, upload or sell your data. Your saved tabs and snapshots live in the extension's local storage. To recover your previous session after a crash, it keeps a local list of your open tabs; you can turn that off in the settings at any time. Note: uninstalling the extension deletes this data, so export a backup copy from time to time. PERMISSIONS, IN PLAIN WORDS • tabs – read the title and address of your tabs so they can be saved, and open or close tabs when you save or restore. • storage / unlimitedStorage – keep your saved tabs and their history on your computer, even when the list is large. • alarms – run the periodic local check and remove history older than 7 days.
