Highlight the words you want to remember — and find them in the same place when you return. Shiguang saves text highlights on web pages and automatically restores them the next time you open the same page. Select a passage, choose a color from the floating palette, and keep reading. FEATURES • Four highlight colors: yellow, green, blue and pink. • Automatic restoration after refreshing or reopening a page. • A searchable library for the current page or all saved highlights. • Locate a highlight in its original page or delete it from the library. • Choose a default color, use the selection context menu, or press Alt+Shift+H. • Customize the selection palette, highlight shortcut and save confirmation in Settings. Changes save automatically and apply immediately. • Export your highlights as a JSON backup. Import is not available yet. • English, Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese and Japanese interfaces, following your browser's display language. ON YOUR DEVICE No account, subscription, advertising, analytics or extension server is required. Selected text, up to 64 surrounding characters on either side, page URL and title, text position, color, timestamp and feature preferences are stored in this browser profile. The extension does not upload or sync them across devices. Only pages with deliberately saved highlights are added to the library. HOW TO USE Select text on an ordinary web page and click a color. Revisit the same URL to restore it. Open the extension icon to search, locate, delete or export your highlights. PLEASE NOTE Refresh pages that were open before installation. Browser pages, extension stores, built-in PDF viewers, iframe content, Shadow DOM, canvases and editable text are not supported. Local files require file URL access in extension settings. If the original text changes substantially, the saved record remains in your library but may no longer be located. Different query strings and hash-router routes are saved separately. Uninstalling removes local extension data; export anything you want to keep first.
