Overview
Inspect and visualize redirect chains directly in your browser.
Redirect Inspector lets you see what actually happens between the original URL and the final landing page. The extension listens to navigation and web request events and builds a readable redirect chain in the browser side panel. A small helper popup (opened from the toolbar icon) shows the current capture status and lets you open the side panel instantly. It works not only for classic HTTP 3xx, but also for client-side redirects (JavaScript, meta refresh) and HSTS upgrades that usually stay invisible. What you get 🧭 Real-time redirect log with live “capturing” state 🧱 Full chain visualization: every hop with status code, method, (timing where available) 🧩 Support for HTTP 3xx, HSTS, JS-based and meta redirects 🔇 Smart noise filtering: hide tracking pixels, analytics beacons, and media sub-requests (dozens of known domains) 🌗 Dark / Light theme with system preference detection 📋 Copy any redirect chain to clipboard as formatted text 🔢 Badge counter on the extension icon per tab 🧹 One-click “Clear log” 💾 Local-only storage — data never leaves your browser (logs capped at 50 entries) How it works You browse as usual. The background worker captures navigation + request events. Redirect Inspector groups them into a chain with live status updates. Open the side panel to inspect every chain in a compact, expandable UI. Privacy All processing happens locally. The extension makes zero network requests of its own. We do not send URLs or redirect data to any server.
