Overview

Jira issues at a glance: JQL lists, a count badge, SLA timers, comments and desktop alerts. Works with Jira Cloud & Data Center.

JiraPulse puts your Jira issues in the browser toolbar: a live count on the icon, your JQL lists one click away, and a desktop notification when something actually needs you. No tab switching, no dashboard to reload. Works with Jira Cloud and with Jira Data Center / Server. Read-only — it never changes anything in Jira. WHAT YOU GET • Count badge — the number of issues from one JQL query of your choice, refreshed in the background on your own schedule. • My work — up to 10 JQL lists in the popup, each with its own columns, column widths, order and page size. Any field of your Jira instance can become a column: type part of its name and pick it. • Real sorting and paging — over the whole result set, not just the visible page, and your sort choice is remembered per list. Issue keys are links, statuses use Jira's own category colours, SLA appears as a coloured pill with the time left, and anything above normal priority is highlighted. • Reported by me — the issues you raised, kept separate from the ones assigned to you. • Changes — new comments, status changes and priority changes on your issues, counted from the moment each issue became yours. Three layouts, switched with one click. • Other people's issues — issue counts for the colleagues you follow, built from your own JQL with currentUser() swapped for each person. One filter to maintain instead of two, and every count links straight into the Jira issue navigator. • Desktop notifications — new issues, approaching SLA or due dates, and changes in your issues. Set your own thresholds (-1d, -2h, -30m), each standard or urgent; urgent alerts keep a red icon and stay on screen until dismissed. • Notification content is configurable per trigger, and you are never notified about something you did yourself. • Ctrl-click (Cmd-click on macOS) opens an issue in a background tab and leaves the popup open, so you can queue several issues in a row. MADE FOR REAL JIRA INSTANCES • Jira Cloud (REST v3, API token) and Jira Data Center / Server (REST v2, Personal Access Token). The variant is detected automatically. • Custom SLA fields from third-party plugins work too — pick the field and the extension reads the deadline from it. • Separate address for API and for links, for instances behind a different gateway. • Background refresh on your schedule (default every 5 minutes), and a whole cycle is a handful of requests. The Changes tab adds none at all: comments and history travel in the same search response. An optional counter in the popup footer shows the requests made in the last 60 minutes — the number your Jira administrator will ask about. PRIVACY • The extension talks to your Jira instance and nothing else. No backend of ours, no proxy, no analytics, no telemetry. • Access is requested for a single domain — the one you enter — not for all websites. • Settings and the API token stay on your device by default. Syncing through your browser account is opt-in, and the two consents are separate: you can sync settings while keeping the token local. ALSO • English, Polish, German, Spanish and French, following your browser language. • Light and dark theme, comfortable or compact density, both switchable from the popup itself. • Configuration export and import as a JSON file. • Free, no ads, no premium tier, no paid features. REQUIREMENTS Chrome 116 or newer. A Jira account and an API token — nothing has to be installed or enabled on the Jira side.
