Overview

This extension allows the user to log the work into Jira easily.

✨ A simple Chrome Extension that makes adding worklogs in Jira easy. Originally based on the discontinued project **Jira Worklog Tool** by Alfeu Santos. 🕒 Logging your time in Jira doesn’t need to be a pain anymore! If you already keep track of your tasks in a TODO list or text file, you only need to adapt your list items to the following intuitive format: <Jira number> - <time spent> - <worklog details and comments> 🔗 You can separate the fields with comma, semi-colon, dash, or even spaces. Examples: JIRA-123 - 1h 30m - working on stuff JIRA-222 - 45m - developing that amazing feature in the website DEV-456 2h 10m fixing bugs in my Pull Request 1m updating my worklog in Jira! 💡 You can also omit the Jira # and time spent, and add them later. 🚀 Current Features 📥 Bulk insert worklogs into Jira 🔄 Convert your task list from plain text into Jira-compatible worklogs 📝 Log your time in Jira issues without opening Jira ✏️ Add, edit, and delete worklogs directly from the Chrome Extension ⏳ Track how many hours you’ve already spent on tasks 🔐 Supports both SAML and Basic Authentication with Jira API tokens 🌐 [NEW] Support for Jira API v3 🌓 [NEW] Dark Mode (follows your browser’s theme) 🎨 [NEW] Visual improvements and UI refinements ⚙️ Getting Started Before using it, you need to: ✅ Make sure you are logged in to your Jira instance in Chrome (the extension leverages the existing authentication cookie). 🔧 Open the Options page and configure the Jira Hostname, pointing to the API services. Example: https://jira.atlassian.com Then click Test Connection to confirm the extension can reach Jira. If it works, click Save and you’re ready to go! 🔑 If providing only the Jira Hostname fails, you may need to configure Basic Authentication with your username and password. Depending on your company’s Jira setup, you might also need an App Token. Please consult your IT department in that case. 📌 The extension uses the Jira Hostname to build the URL and API calls to your Jira instance, e.g. https://jira.atlassian.com/rest/api/3/search/jql 🙋 For questions, issues, and feature requests, please visit: 👉 GitHub Repository: https://github.com/DiegoVAReis/jiraworkloghelper
