JikDown - Video Downloader

Saves HLS/M3U8 streams from the tab as one MP4; MP4/WebM files as they are. Collects no data; videos come straight from the site.

JikDown finds the video streams playing in your current tab and saves the one you choose as a single file on your device. How it works 1. Play a video on a web page. JikDown detects the stream and shows the count on its icon. 2. Open JikDown, pick a video and click Download. 3. Choose the quality and where to save. Progress, pause and cancel are shown while it saves. Supported - HLS (M3U8) streams with MPEG-TS or fragmented MP4 segments, saved as one MP4 - MPEG-TS segments are converted only when they carry H.264 video and AAC audio; fragmented MP4 segments are saved as they are - Regular MP4 and WebM video files Not supported - YouTube (excluded by policy) - DRM-protected video (Widevine, PlayReady, FairPlay, SAMPLE-AES) — JikDown stops on pages that use DRM - Encrypted video, including HLS with AES-128 encryption - Live streams, HLS with separate audio tracks, and DASH (MPD) - MPEG-TS HLS with HEVC (H.265) video or AC-3/E-AC-3 and other non-AAC audio Privacy - Everything runs in your browser. JikDown does not collect, sell or transmit your data, and has no analytics or tracking. - Detected video addresses are kept only in temporary browser session storage, which is erased when you close the browser. - Videos are downloaded directly from the site that serves them. Only the page's origin is sent as the Referer. Sponsored cards - JikDown may show a card labelled [Sponsored] with an affiliate link.
