Click the Proxy Master icon in the toolbar → open Settings 2. In "General" tab, fill in IP, Port, Username, Password → click "Apply proxy" 3. The toolbar icon now shows "ON" — Chrome is using your proxy Import multiple proxies: 1. Go to "Proxy list" tab 2. Paste one proxy per line in "IP:Port:User:Pass" format 3. Choose type + optional group name → click "Add to list" 4. Click ✓ Check on any row to verify it works and see the ping Route only specific sites through proxy: 1. Go to "Website rules" tab 2. Add domains to the top box (whitelist) — only these will use the proxy 3. Or add to the bottom box (blacklist) — these will always bypass Sync setup to another Chrome profile: 1. On source profile: "Backup & Sync" → "Create sync code" → Copy 2. On target profile: "Backup & Sync" → "Enter sync code" → Paste → Import 3. Choose merge or overwrite PERMISSIONS EXPLAINED - proxy — required to change Chrome's proxy setting (core functionality) - storage — save your proxy list, groups, nicknames, and website rules locally - webRequest + webRequestAuthProvider — supply credentials for authenticated HTTP/HTTPS - proxies (via onAuthRequired challenge handler) - notifications — alert you when your active proxy stops responding (proxy-down alerts only, no marketing) - alarms — schedule the 2-minute background health check for the active proxy - Host access <all_urls> — required for the authentication handler to work on any website you visit, plus contact IP lookup services (api.ipify.org, ipwho.is, api.country.is) to display your current exit IP and country Proxy Master does not collect, transmit, or store any personal data on external servers. No analytics, no tracking, no third-party SDKs. All data lives in your browser's local storage and is only read by this extension.
