Znimok — DevTools log

Records the tab's console, errors and network next to a Znimok screen recording — to watch a bug together with what the page did.

Znimok is a screenshot and screen-recording app for Windows and macOS. This extension adds the browser to its recordings: while Znimok records the screen, the extension writes the active tab's developer log next to the video, on the same time line. Later, in Znimok's video editor, you play the recording and see — at the right moment — the request that failed, its headers and body, the console error with its stack, the page navigations and the dataLayer / gtag events. What it records (only while a Znimok recording runs, only in the active tab): • console messages and errors with their stack • network requests and responses: address, method, status, headers, request payload, response body (up to 4 MB), timings, WebSocket frames • page navigations • dataLayer and gtag events (Google Tag Manager) Also: • "Record this window" — start a Znimok recording of this browser window from the toolbar button or the right-click menu, with or without the tabs and the address bar • the icon shows when a recording is on; a click stops it Privacy: the log goes only to the Znimok app on the same computer (Chrome's Native Messaging) and is stored inside the recording on your disk. The extension sends nothing to the internet, has no analytics and keeps no copies. Because it exists for debugging, it records what DevTools show in full; Znimok can hide secrets (cookies, tokens) when you export a recording.
