JH Chat Translator overlays a translation badge on every incoming message in your chat — and translates the messages you type before they're sent. It works while you read or write, with the same Enter key and the same Send button you already use. Each with per-script Unicode detection so the extension knows whether the text you typed needs translation or not. 🤖 5 CLOUD PROVIDERS — BRING YOUR OWN KEY - Google Translate - DeepL (Free tier) - OpenAI — choose between GPT-4o, GPT-4o mini, GPT-4 Turbo, GPT-3.5 Turbo - Google Gemini — 2.5 Flash Lite (default), 2.5 Flash, 2.0 Flash, 1.5 Pro - DeepSeek — Chat or Reasoner You set the API key once. We never see it. 🖥️ OR RUN LOCAL WITH OLLAMA For privacy-first translation that never leaves your machine, install Ollama and pick from 7 supported models (Qwen 2.5 4B/7B, Gemma 3/4, Llama 3.2 3B, GLM 4.7). The extension can run Ollama and a cloud provider at the same time — Ollama is tried first, the cloud is the silent fallback if it isn't running. 🎨 7 TRANSLATION STYLES Toggle a built-in translation style — Business, E-commerce, Technical, Academic, Casual, Legal, or Medical — and the extension ships the appropriate prompt to your LLM. Style instructions automatically re-localise when you change the UI language. You can also write your own custom style. 🌍 LOCALISED INTERFACE Vietnamese / English UI, auto-detected from your browser locale on first install. Switch any time from the popup. 🔒 PRIVACY - No analytics, no telemetry, no third-party servers between you and the provider. - API keys stored in chrome.storage.sync (encrypted, account-bound). - The extension only injects on the 3 chat platforms — never on banks, email, or anywhere else. - When you use Ollama, message text never leaves your computer.
