WASecret — Privacy & Organisation for WhatsApp Web

Keep WhatsApp Web private and organised with blur, PIN lock, reminders, quick replies and translation. Unofficial extension.

WASecret keeps your chats private and organised on your own computer. Requires a phone with WhatsApp linked to the web app. Choose what to blur, lock the screen with a PIN when you step away, and keep follow-ups and replies at hand. PRIVACY • Blur messages, chat previews, names, profile photos and media; reveal on hover • Everyday, Screen share, Office and Family modes remember their own choices • PIN lock, auto-lock when idle, private chats and an instant hide shortcut (Alt+X) • Deleted-message history (off by default): keeps a local copy of messages received while it is on, so a message later deleted for everyone stays readable on this computer. Copies expire after 1 hour (24 hours for contacts you choose) ORGANISATION • Smart inbox filters and pins • Quick replies you insert into your draft and send yourself • Reminders and tasks that notify you; nothing is ever sent for you • Export chats and contacts as TXT, HTML, CSV, JSON or Excel • Translate the text you select Blur, PIN lock and screen privacy are free. Pro tools start with a free 3-day trial (no card needed: request a trial key by email), then require a WASecret subscription ($5/month). The trial simply ends; nothing is charged unless you subscribe. Sold by WASecret, not Google. The price and renewal interval are shown before you pay, and you can cancel any time from Account & subscription. YOUR DATA Settings, reminders, quick replies and any local message copies stay in your Chrome profile. WASecret contacts its server only after you accept the in-app data disclosure: to activate your license (license key, a random installation ID, a device key and a device name) and to translate text you choose, which WASecret forwards to OpenAI and does not keep in its logs. Stripe handles payments and Resend delivers license emails. No ads, analytics or sale of data.
