Kavalu helps you understand what you read on the web. Select text on any page, open Kavalu beside it in Chrome's side panel, and choose what you need: • Explain: a plain explanation, then ask follow-up questions about it, or ask for it simpler or as an analogy • Summarize a passage or the whole page • Diagram: see the idea drawn as a flow, timeline, cycle, hierarchy or concept map, step through a process or timeline with each step read aloud, and download it as SVG or PNG • Make a card: turn what you read into a flashcard you can edit, review your cards when they are due, and export them to Anki • Quiz me: a few questions on what you just read, with an explanation for each answer • Translate into your language • Listen: hear the text read aloud • Deeper dive: research the topic further, with numbered sources Open Kavalu from the toolbar button, the right-click menu or Alt+K. Alt+Shift+K explains the selected text straight away, and Alt+Shift+L reads it aloud. Your reading stays yours. Kavalu reads a page only when you ask it to. The text you select, with the title and address of the page for most actions, is sent to Kavalu to answer your request and is not stored; only the cards you choose to save are kept, in your browser. Nothing is added to the pages you read unless you turn on the optional selection button in Settings. Free to start, with every action included and daily limits.
