Add your own API key, select the provider and model you prefer, and change them from the extension settings when needed. OpenRouter gives you one key with access to dozens of models from multiple labs, including a free, auto-routed default model at no cost. This bring-your-own-key (BYOK) approach means: • You choose the AI provider that processes your requests. • You choose from the supported models available in Enrichr, including OpenRouter's live model catalog. • You use your own provider account rather than an Enrichr subscription or shared developer account. • Requests travel directly from the browser to the configured OpenAI API, Google Gemini API, or OpenRouter API. • Provider usage, limits, pricing, availability, and data processing remain governed by the provider you select. Install Enrichr and open the extension settings. 2. Choose OpenAI, Google Gemini, or OpenRouter and add your API key. 3. Select an available AI model. 4. Keep the included prompts or create custom text actions for your workflow. 5. Highlight text on a webpage. 6. Right-click and choose an Enrichr action, or trigger one of your first five prompts with a configured keyboard shortcut. 7. Watch the AI response appear as it is generated. 8. Copy the result or replace the selected text when the editable field supports replacement. There is no separate editor to learn and no need to open a chatbot for every small revision. The action begins only after you select text and explicitly invoke Enrichr. DESIGNED FOR A FOCUSED WORKFLOW • Streaming AI responses let you see text as it is generated. • Clear loading states show which provider is processing the request. • Cancel an active request by closing the result panel. • Automatic retries help recover from temporary network and provider errors before streaming begins. • Idle timeout handling prevents stalled requests from waiting indefinitely. • Copy generated text to the clipboard in one click. • Replace the original selection in supported editable fields. • Open the Chrome side panel to check configuration status and revisit recent activity. • Review the five most recent generated results stored on your device. • Clear local result history whenever you want. • Follow your operating system's light or dark appearance automatically. The result interface stays close to the text you selected, helping you maintain context and focus while writing, editing, reading, or researching. PRIVACY-FIRST AI TEXT PROCESSING Enrichr has a single purpose: transform text that you explicitly select using the AI provider and prompt you choose. The extension does not continuously read pages or monitor what you type. It accesses the active page only after an explicit action, such as choosing an Enrichr item from the right-click menu or using a configured keyboard shortcut. Password fields are deliberately excluded. When you request a transformation, the selected text and chosen prompt are sent directly from your browser to the OpenAI API, Google Gemini API, or OpenRouter API you configured. This transfer is necessary for that provider to generate the requested result. Enrichr has no developer-operated backend and does not: • Collect analytics or telemetry. • Display advertising. • Track browsing activity. • Record keystrokes. • Sell user data. • Send data to data brokers. • Use selected text for unrelated purposes. LOCAL STORAGE AND USER CONTROL The following data is stored locally in Chrome extension storage on your device: • Your OpenAI, Google Gemini, or OpenRouter API key. • Your selected provider and model settings. • Your custom prompts and their order. • Your five most recent AI-generated results. You can clear the recent result history from the side panel and remove an API key from settings at any time. The developer does not receive your API keys, prompts, selected text, or generated results through an Enrichr server because Enrichr does not operate one. AI providers have their own data handling practices. Review the terms and privacy policy of OpenAI, Google Gemini, or OpenRouter before using the corresponding service, especially when working with confidential, personal, regulated, or sensitive information. WHY THE EXTENSION NEEDS THESE PERMISSIONS Enrichr requests only the Chrome capabilities needed to provide its disclosed text-transformation workflow: • Context menus: display your AI prompt actions when you select text and open the right-click menu. • Active tab: interact with the page you are viewing only after you invoke Enrichr. • Scripting: show the in-page result interface and support replacement in compatible editable fields. • Storage: save API keys, provider and model settings, custom prompts, and recent results locally on your device. • Side panel: display configuration status, shortcuts, and recent local results. • OpenAI host access: send transformations directly to the OpenAI API when OpenAI is selected. • Google Gemini host access: send transformations directly to the Google Gemini API when Gemini is selected. • OpenRouter host access: send transformations directly to the OpenRouter API when OpenRouter is selected. Enrichr does not run persistently across websites. It activates its page interface in response to your explicit request.
