Onegen Search — AI Memory & Tab Parking
Overview
Smart tab parking & local AI memory for digital workers. Park tabs, save exact scroll depth, and recall past research with Déjà Vu.
Onegen Search is a local browser memory and tab parking extension designed for multi-tab research and workflow continuity. When working across dozens of open tabs, browsers consume significant system memory and reading context is easily lost. Onegen Search parks open tabs into structured clusters, records your exact reading scroll depth and video playback timestamps, and surfaces relevant past research when you search the web. All data is stored directly on your computer in browser IndexedDB. No accounts, no external server sync, and no background network telemetry. --- WORKFLOW APPLICATIONS • TECHNICAL & ENGINEERING: Park open tabs across technical documentation, code reviews, and architecture discussions into isolated topic groups. Restores directly to the exact code snippet or paragraph where reading stopped. • RESEARCH & ANALYSIS: Organize multi-source investigations without browser slowdown. Automatically generate concise topic summaries, extract key takeaways from open pages, and export research trails as clean Markdown documents. • PLANNING & EXECUTION: Group project references, product comparisons, and sourcing trails into dedicated cards. Schedule reminder alarms to reopen specific research sessions when needed. --- CORE CAPABILITIES 1. TAB PARKING WITH EXACT SCROLL RESTORE • 1-Click Session Parking: Cleanly groups and closes open tabs in the current window to release browser memory. • Exact Scroll Depth Memory: Stores pixel-level and percentage-based scroll coordinates. Restoring a parked tab reopens the page at the exact sentence where you left off. • Video Timestamp Resume: Records playback timestamps on supported video pages, restoring playback directly to that second. • Live Text Re-Highlighting: Reapplies your saved text selections onto restored web pages in visible highlights. 2. ON-DEMAND LOCAL SUMMARIZATION (0 MB IDLE RAM) • Local Processing: Generates concise intent summaries and searchable topic tags using on-device processing. • Sleep-Wake Architecture: Processing executes strictly on demand during save or retrieval operations and unloads immediately to ensure zero ongoing memory overhead. 3. DÉJÀ VU SEARCH RECALL • Context Resurfacing: When you search the web for a topic previously investigated, a lightweight banner displays the relevant prior session and visited page count. • 1-Click Restoration: Reopen past research trails or dismiss the notice with a single click. • 24-Hour Cooldown: Automatic cooldown periods prevent repetitive notifications for recent or completed investigations. 4. "ASK MY HISTORY" SIDE PANEL • Natural Language Search: Search past research sessions using natural language and relative time references (such as "yesterday", "last week", or specific months). • Hybrid Retrieval: Combines semantic similarity with keyword matching to locate specific pages, highlights, and notes. • Session Vault: Inspect past sessions, filter by topic tags, view intent statements, and open clean offline page snapshots. 5. STRUCTURED TAKEAWAYS & EXPORT • Key Takeaways: Extracts main points and verbatim factual metrics (numerical values, pricing, specifications) directly from page content. • Markdown Dossier Export: Copies session titles, query details, timestamped highlights, and source URLs in structured Markdown for use in notes and documentation tools. • Topic Drift Splitting: Identifies when browsing diverges into unrelated topics and allows splitting tangential links into a separate session card. 6. RESEARCH SNOOZE ALARMS • Scheduled Resumption: Snooze research sessions for a specific date and time (tomorrow morning, 3 days, next week, or next month). • Native Reminders: Delivers an operating system notification and updates the toolbar badge when a snoozed session is ready for review. --- LOCAL ARCHITECTURE & PRIVACY SHIELD Onegen Search operates under a strict on-device data boundary: • LOCAL STORAGE ONLY: All page titles, URLs, scroll coordinates, summaries, and notes reside solely in browser IndexedDB on your machine. No data is transmitted to external servers. • AUTOMATIC PRIVACY SHIELD: The extension monitors for and automatically excludes sensitive web surfaces from recording: - Webmail and email platforms - Messaging and real-time chat applications - Banking portals, checkout gateways, and financial services - Authentication forms (login, registration, password reset) - Incognito and private browsing windows • DATA OWNERSHIP & PORTABILITY: - 1-Click JSON Export: Export your complete local database at any time. - Granular Deletion: Remove individual links, full sessions, or clear the entire database on demand. - Complete Uninstallation Removal: Removing the extension from Chrome automatically deletes all local IndexedDB records. --- SYSTEM SPECIFICATIONS • Architecture: Manifest V3 compliant service worker • Background Resource Usage: 0 MB idle memory footprint • Security: Adheres strictly to the Chrome Web Store Least Privilege Policy • Supported Platforms: macOS, Windows, Linux, ChromeOS
