Overview
Select a saying attributed to the Prophet ﷺ and see on takhrij.org where it is written. The extension collects nothing.
A saying reaches you as «the Prophet ﷺ said…»: in a family group, a post, a sermon draft. Select it on any page, right-click and choose «Check with Takhrij», or paste it into the toolbar popup. Takhrij opens in a new tab and shows where the saying is written: the book and number, the Arabic text, the graders’ own words with their names, and the chain of narrators. If a line was added to a report, such as «share this with ten people», Takhrij marks the words that are not in the report it found. Takhrij gives no verdict of its own. If it finds nothing close, it says so plainly, names the books it searched, notes that this does not settle whether the saying is a hadith, and suggests you ask a scholar you trust before you share. Private by design: • The text goes after the # in the address, the part browsers never send to a server. • The search runs on your device. Your text stays there unless you choose the translation step, a search on another site, or sharing a reply. • The extension’s only permission is the right-click menu. It cannot read pages, stores nothing and makes no network requests of its own. The check opens in an ordinary tab, so its address, with your text, stays in your browser history like any page you visit. • No ads, no accounts, no tracking. Free. Interface in English, Turkish and Arabic.
