Jamat Finder is a satirical text-analysis toy for Bangladeshi political social media. It reads the visible text of a post, scores it 0 to 100 for how closely the wording matches Jamaat-e-Islami / Shibir-style political rhetoric, and shows you the score with a breakdown of which phrases drove it. It is a joke tool built on keyword matching. It is not a fact-checker, not a research instrument, and not a judgement about any person. This is a local, offline keyword-matching toy. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or opposed to any political party. HOW IT WORKS Paste any post into the full-screen scorer, or select text on any page and right-click "Jamat Finder: score this selection". On supported platforms a small score badge can appear beside posts as you scroll; click it for the breakdown. Scoring is a weighted keyword and phrase model covering Bangla, transliterated Banglish, and English. Markers are grouped by how distinctive they are, so ordinary religious vocabulary that most Bangladeshi Muslims use carries almost no weight on its own, while phrases that are specific to this political current carry much more. Words that both sides of the argument use are only counted when the surrounding context is hostile. A post arguing for secularism is therefore not scored as if it were arguing against it. Posts that quote the rhetoric in order to criticise it are pushed back down. The breakdown always shows you which phrases produced the score, so you can see when it has got something wrong. WHAT IT SHOWS YOU - a 0 to 100 score, and a plain call at 50 - an optional letter grade, as a joke label - an optional per-category breakdown of the matched phrases Badges and the breakdown can each be switched off in Options. PRIVACY Nothing is collected. Nothing is transmitted. There is no server, no analytics, and no network request of any kind — the extension requests no access to any remote host. Post text is held in memory only long enough to compute a score and is then discarded. It is never written to disk. Only your own settings are stored locally: the display toggles, the sensitivity slider, and the minimum post length. No history of scored posts is kept and no per-account totals are accumulated. SCOPE AND LIMITATIONS This scores TEXT, not people. It builds no profiles and keeps no record of who posted what. It does include a short list of media pages and party organs whose political affiliation is publicly documented and a matter of public record; posts from those pages are labelled accordingly, and the extension states plainly when a score came from the account rather than the wording. That list covers organisations and outlets only, not private individuals. Being a keyword model, it will be wrong sometimes — confidently so. It cannot read text inside images, which is where a lot of this material actually lives. Short posts give it very little to work with, and it flags low confidence when that happens. Treat the number as a punchline, not a verdict. CONTEXT The grade names are drawn from Bangladeshi online political slang and are intended as satire within that conversation. If you are not part of it, the labels will not mean much, and the extension will not be much use to you.
