Jadon's Excuses — Tab Tracker pairs with the Jadon's Excuses desktop app to track browsing time per website, rather than just general browser usage. WHAT IT DOES Sends the current tab's domain and URL to your local desktop app. Automatically detects tab switches and URL changes. Runs only when the desktop app is listening on localhost:9876. Respects privacy: skips internal pages (chrome://, file://) and pauses when you tell it to. Detects your operating system and shows the correct download link for Mac or Windows. WHAT IT DOESN'T DO Nothing leaves your machine. No external servers, no analytics, no data collection. Does not run or collect data when the desktop app is closed. GETTING STARTED Install this extension. Click the extension icon — if the desktop app isn't installed, you'll see a download button for your platform (Mac or Windows). Download and install the desktop app. Open the app — the extension connects automatically. PRIVACY All data stays on your local machine. The extension only communicates with ws://127.0.0.1:9876 while the desktop app is running.
