Motivator: New Tab with Notes, Tasks & Focus Timer

A private new tab: live age counter, quick links, Markdown notes and tasks, focus timer, weather, news headlines and exchange rates.

Motivator replaces your browser's new tab page with a calm, private dashboard. WHAT YOU GET • Live age: your age ticking in real time, with 12 themes and a birthday countdown. Your birthdate stays in your browser. • Quick links: your favorite sites with icons, folders, drag-and-drop ordering, and a dock on any edge or a grid. Add the current page with the toolbar button, the right-click menu or Ctrl/⌘+Shift+D (Alt+Shift+D in Firefox). • Notes & tasks: Markdown notes with code highlighting, task lists with priorities, tags and due dates, colors and pinning. Right-to-left text works. • Focus timer: Pomodoro sessions with short and long breaks, notifications and a daily goal. • Command palette: press Ctrl/⌘+K to search your links, notes and every action. • Time & weather: a clock for any city, Gregorian or Solar Hijri (Persian) calendar, hourly and 7-day forecast. • News & rates: English and Persian headlines filtered by topic and source, plus exchange and crypto rates with history charts. • Your look: light, dark or system theme, glass or solid panels, accent color, density, your own wallpaper or the daily Bing image, and a toggle for every widget. • Six languages: English, فارسی, Español, Français, Italiano, Português. • Backup: export and import all your data as a file. PRIVACY • No account, no ads, no third-party analytics, no remote code. • Links, notes, tasks, your birthdate, focus history, settings and backups are stored only in your browser. • Weather, city search, exchange rates, news and the daily wallpaper come from the Motivator server (motivator.mindioglobal.com). It receives an anonymous random install ID, the coordinates of the city you choose for weather, your news preferences and which headlines you open (counted for "popular" rankings). • Site icons are loaded from Google's public favicon service, which receives the domains of your quick links. They are never sent to our server. • Full privacy policy: https://motivator.mindioglobal.com/privacy PERMISSIONS • Replace new tab page: this is the extension. • Storage / unlimited storage: keep your data locally (notes and wallpapers can exceed the default quota). • Context menus, active tab: add the page, a link or selected text when you ask for it; pages are never read in the background. • Alarms, notifications: refresh rates and headlines, and tell you when a focus session ends.
