The iSTEEP Secure Browser is designed for Chrome devices to create a secure platform on which to conduct high stakes exams such as… The iSTEEP Secure Browser is designed for Chrome devices to create a secure platform on which to conduct high stakes exams such as state tests. The application allows users to conduct online exams safely. The application changes Chrome devices to any a secure workstation that regulates access what the user can and cannot do. Access to resources like system functions, other websites and applications and prevented. Users are prevented from visiting other URLs, starting any new tasks or applications, printing, taking screen shots, viewing menu option, hitting control keys to exit, view anything except full screen mode. Google enterprise and education users should pre-configure devices for single application kiosk mode. Currently the app comes pre-configured for iSTEEP state testing and it not available for general use by iSTEEP schools.
