IronMemo — Meeting Recorder

Records audio of business calls in your browser for transcription and summary by IronMemo.

IronMemo — Meeting Recorder records the audio of your browser-based calls and meetings, saves it as a file on your computer, and — when you ask it to — sends that recording to your own IronMemo account for transcription and a summary. It works with calls that run in a Chrome tab: Google Meet, Zoom Web client, Microsoft Teams web, and other web conferencing services. Both sides of the conversation are captured — the tab's audio (the other participants) is mixed with your microphone into a single audio track. How it works 1. Click the IronMemo icon and press Start. A recorder tab opens, and Chrome's standard sharing dialog asks what to capture — choose the tab with your call and turn on "Share tab audio". Your microphone is added to the mix if you have allowed it. 2. Record, pause and resume as you need. The recorder tab stays visible for the whole session and serves as the recording indicator. 3. Press Stop. The recording is saved first as a WebM audio file on your computer, in Downloads/"IronMemo Records". It is yours and stays on your device unless you decide to send it. 4. When you are ready, pick the recording and the workspace, then press "Send to IronMemo" to upload it to your own IronMemo account for transcription and summary. Nothing is ever uploaded without that press — sending is always your explicit action, and it requires being signed in at app.ironmemo.com. What you get • Recordings list — finished recordings stay in the popup, so you can send an earlier one, open its folder in Downloads, or delete it (deleting also removes the extension's stored copy). • Workspace picker — choose which of your IronMemo workspaces a recording goes to. The same recording can be sent to a second workspace later; the extension does not offer to send it twice to the same one. • Transcription settings — pick the recognition language (or let it be detected), choose accurate or fast processing, and turn on speaker separation if you want the transcript marked up by speaker. These settings are applied when a recording is sent. • Interface in English, Russian and Spanish. Privacy • No analytics, no trackers, no ads. • The extension communicates only with IronMemo — a sign-in status check and your own workspace list when you open the popup, and the upload you explicitly request. Recordings are transmitted only when you press "Send to IronMemo". • The extension has no login form of its own; it relies on your existing app.ironmemo.com session. • The file saved in your Downloads folder is never modified or deleted by the extension. • A visible recorder tab is open for as long as a recording runs. Good to know • Recordings are saved as WebM/Opus audio. • An hour-long call is tens of megabytes. The extension keeps its own copy of a recording in browser storage until you delete that recording, so that you can still send it after it has been saved to disk. Important: always inform meeting participants that the call is being recorded and obtain the consents required by your jurisdiction before recording and before uploading. You are responsible for complying with applicable recording, data-protection, and biometric-privacy laws.
