Overview

Add the arXiv paper you are reading to your iReading Room library in one click.

iReading Room saves the arXiv papers you read to your iReading Room library — in one click, without copying links. HOW IT WORKS • Open any paper on arxiv.org (abstract, HTML or PDF page). A small card appears in the corner: "Add this paper to your iReading Room library?" • Click "Add to library". iReading Room opens your Library in a new tab and adds the paper for you, exactly as if you had pasted its link yourself. • Not signed in? Sign in as usual, and the paper is added right after. • Ignore the card and it disappears after a few seconds. Nothing happens unless you click. OPTIONAL: SEND PAPERS TO GEMINI NOTEBOOK If you turn on "Gemini Notebook integration" in your iReading Room settings (Settings → Floodgate), papers you move from your Floodgate inbox to your Library can also be placed in a new notebook in your own Google Gemini Notebook (formerly NotebookLM) account, titled "iReadingRoom – <date> – <feed>". This is off by default, needs your explicit permission the first time, works in desktop Chrome with Google's interface in English, and sends at most 20 papers per notebook. PRIVACY • On arXiv, the extension reads only the address of the page you are on, to recognise the paper. It does not read page content or your browsing history. • On the iReading Room site, it acts only in the tab it opened after your click, and only to fill in the app's own "Add article" form. • It has no analytics and makes no network requests of its own. Your paper is saved by the iReading Room app using your own signed-in session. • If you use the Gemini Notebook option, your browser sends the links of the papers you chose to Google, under your own Google account.
