IP Lens — Website IP Address & DNS

)Overview
Shows the current website's IP address (IPv4 & IPv6), network owner, country, DNS and WHOIS, plus your own VPN/egress IP.
IP Lens shows the IP address and connection details of the website in your current tab, alongside your own public IP address, in a small on-page panel (plus a toolbar popup). It answers "what is this website's IP address, who owns it, and where is it?" at a glance. It shows both ends of the connection: • LOCAL — your public egress IPv4 & IPv6 (the address the internet sees, i.e. your VPN or proxy exit, not your LAN IP), the network owner (VPN/ISP), and country. Optional VPN/proxy/hosting detection. • REMOTE — the website's IPv4 & IPv6 addresses, with the exact address used for the connection marked, the network owner (via WHOIS/RDAP), and country. It also shows: the CNAME chain, the HTTP redirect path, the HTTP protocol version used for the connection (HTTP/1.1, HTTP/2, or HTTP/3 over QUIC) and the response compression (brotli, gzip), domain WHOIS (registrar and expiry dates), optional SSL/TLS certificate info (issuer and validity, from Certificate Transparency logs), HSTS status, a passive DNS-resolver line, an on-demand DNS-leak test, and quick links to Chrome's DNS, HSTS, and socket pages. Click any value — an IP address, owner, domain, or record — to copy it to your clipboard, in both the on-page panel and the toolbar popup. The panel is draggable, collapsible, and can be toggled with a keyboard shortcut. How it works IP Lens reads the connecting IP address that Chrome reports for the current tab, then looks up its ownership and location. DNS records (the A/AAAA addresses and the CNAME chain) come from DNS-over-HTTPS; network ownership, the CIDR/netblock, and the abuse contact come from RDAP/WHOIS; SSL/TLS certificate details come from public Certificate Transparency logs; and the HTTP protocol version comes from the browser's own Navigation Timing data. Every lookup is read-only — the extension never loads or runs remote code, and it does not modify the pages you visit or the requests your browser makes. Use cases • Developers — see which server or CDN IP a hostname resolves to, confirm whether the site is served over HTTP/2 or HTTP/3 (QUIC) and compressed with brotli or gzip, and trace CNAME flattening and redirect chains. • Sysadmins and network engineers — check the network owner, ASN, CIDR block, and abuse contact for an IP, and verify HSTS and the SSL certificate issuer and expiry. • SEOs — inspect the full HTTP redirect path (status codes and every hop) and domain WHOIS registration and expiry dates. • VPN and proxy users — confirm your public egress IP (IPv4 and IPv6) and its owner, see whether it is detected as VPN, proxy, or hosting, and run an on-demand DNS-leak test. Privacy: a single toggle disables all third-party lookups. The optional history log is off by default and stays on your device.
