Overview

One-press save to a Grok Bot. Toolbar click or Alt+Shift+G

One-click webcliper - chrome to a Grok Bot (grokbot) ---- # Grok Clipper 1.2.12 One-press save from Chrome to a Grok Bot webhook. The point of this extension: one click grabs the URL (and page context) into a bot that learns what you care about, keeps your crew in the loop, and turns inspiration into real action items you can mix into your own work. ## Install 1. Open `chrome://extensions` 2. Enable **Developer mode** 3. **Load unpacked** → this folder 4. Open **Options** → paste **webhook URL** and **sender key** → Save ## Use - Click the toolbar icon, or press **Alt+Shift+G** - A multi-lobe cloud appears, eats the page, then vanishes ## Options Open the bot → **Routines** → pick a webhook routine → copy the **URL** and **sender key** → paste both in Options. Both are required. Keys stay in your browser only. ## Best practice: reference / inspiration collection bot Create a dedicated bot (or a webhook routine on an existing one) whose only job is: **receive clips → brief the team → propose how to use the idea.** ### Suggested routine prompt (paste into the webhook routine) ``` You are a reference & inspiration collector. When a clip arrives via webhook, treat it as something I found interesting and want to keep / act on. For each inbound clip (URL, title, selection, page text sample, notes): 1) Capture — Save a short durable note: URL, title, why it might matter (1–2 lines from the page or selection). 2) Team brief — Summarize in plain language what this is and why I clipped it, so my crew understands my current interests and taste. Keep it short enough to paste into Slack/chat. 3) Main idea — Extract the core idea in one sentence (not a link dump). 4) Action for our work — Propose 1–3 concrete ways we could implement, adapt, or remix that idea into our product / design / process. Prefer specific next steps over vague “inspiration.” 5) Priority — Tag lightly: keep / discuss / try this week. Reply with a tight structure: - Interest note (for the team) - Core idea - Action items (bullets) - Optional: related open threads or bots to ping Do not write essays. Do not invent facts about the page you cannot see. If the payload is thin, say what is missing and still give a best-effort idea + action. ``` ### Why this pairing works - **Extension** = frictionless capture (one click, fun cloud). - **Bot** = memory + team awareness + “what do we do with this?” - Together: your crew knows you better, and inspiration becomes work, not a bookmark graveyard.
