Into-it is a marketing technology startup that transforms news media into a loyalty channel for retailers. Our Chrome extension replaces ads with personalised notifications about products customers are interested in, turning news media into a shop window for retailers. This is our prototype. To see it in action, simply install it, tell it the music you're into and then visit The Independent to experience what it's like to replace ads with personalised notifications. We respect your privacy. We don't collect or sell any personal data. Your artist selections are stored anonymously and can't be linked back to you. You have complete control over the notifications you see. You customise exactly which artists you want to hear about, and you can change your artist selections or easily uninstall the extension at any time. We also respect your computer's performance. Our extension is lightweight, secure and won’t slow down your browsing. Our technology improves things for retailers, customers and publishers. For retailers, what could be better than communicating with customers who've revealed what products they're into? For customers, it improves their browsing experience. And publishers get paid more for serving notifications. Last year, we proved that our notifications are expected and welcome. We served 30,000 notifications on The Independent and scored a 6% click-through rate, 100 times better than ads. The extension had a 74% retention rate, demonstrating how swapping ads for notifications quickly becomes a habit. We've had some very positive coverage across the marketing and media press.
