Overview
Inspect the i18n setup of any website: framework, i18n library, locales, hreflang and SEO tags, plus a full Intlayer audit.
Intlayer i18n Scanner shows you, in one click, how a website handles internationalization (i18n) and multilingual SEO. Open a page, click the extension icon, and see which framework and i18n library the site uses, which languages it supports, and whether its SEO language tags are set up correctly. For more depth, run a full audit of the page, its robots.txt, its sitemap and the whole domain, with a live score. Made for developers, SEO specialists and teams who build, migrate or audit multilingual websites. WHAT IT SHOWS Detected technologies The web framework and the i18n library used by the page, with the version when available. Each result shows the evidence behind it, such as a global variable, a cookie or a meta tag, so you know why it was identified. Locales Languages found in the html lang attribute, hreflang and og:locale tags, the URL locale prefix, and locale cookies or storage entries. SEO language tags - html lang and dir attributes - Canonical link - hreflang alternate links and x-default - og:locale - Share of internal links that point to localized URLs FULL AUDIT One click runs the same audit as the i18n SEO Scanner on intlayer.org. Results appear live in the popup, with an overall score and a pass, warning or fail status for each check. - Page: language attributes, hreflang, x-default, canonical, localized links, language selector, and unused translations shipped in the JavaScript bundle - robots.txt: present, and locale paths kept crawlable - Sitemap: present, every locale listed, alternate links and x-default declared - Domain: number of locales found across the site USE CASES - See how other websites set up their translations - Understand an existing multilingual setup before a migration - Catch missing hreflang, x-default or canonical tags before they hurt international rankings - Get a quick overview of a client's multilingual website PRIVACY AND PERMISSIONS - activeTab and scripting: detection runs only on the tab you are viewing, and only when you open the popup. It does not run in the background. - back.intlayer.org: used only when you run a full audit. The URL of the current page is sent to the Intlayer API to be scanned. No browsing history is collected, nothing is tracked, and no data is sold. ABOUT INTLAYER Intlayer is an open-source internationalization solution for JavaScript applications.
