Intention
Overview
Opening YouTube asks what you came for first. Type a search, and YouTube opens straight to the results.
Open YouTube on purpose, not on autopilot. Most of us open YouTube to look up one thing, then lose an hour to the homepage feed. Intention puts a single question between you and that feed: what are you here to watch? HOW IT WORKS When you open youtube.com, Intention shows a calm page with one long search bar instead of recommendations. Type what you came for, press Enter, and YouTube opens directly on the search results. No feed, no autoplay, no rabbit hole to start with. Clicking the YouTube logo or Home button inside YouTube brings the search page back too, so the feed stays out of reach. WHAT STILL WORKS NORMALLY - Video, channel and playlist links shared with you open as usual - Search results, subscriptions and your watch history are untouched - Only the homepage feed is replaced PRIVATE BY DESIGN Intention collects no data. No accounts, no analytics, no tracking, no servers. Your search goes straight from your browser to YouTube, exactly as if you had typed it there yourself. Light and dark themes follow your system settings. Click the toolbar icon anytime to open the search page in a new tab.
