Integral Reader
Overview
Boustrophedon reader view — never lose your line again. Click the icon on any article to read it with alternating line direction.
Integral Reader turns any article into a clean, distraction-free reading page, and can lay it out boustrophedon style: lines alternate direction, left to right and then right to left, the way an ox plows a field. The end of one line sits right next to the start of the next, so your eye never has to sweep back across the page. HOW IT WORKS • Click the toolbar icon on any article. It opens in a clean reader tab. • Turn on boustrophedon mode. Curved turn guides show where each line hands off to the next. • Each word keeps its normal letter order; only the word order flips on alternate lines. The text underneath stays in normal reading order. MAKE IT YOURS • Typeface, text size, line spacing, word spacing and column width • Optional alternating line tint • Your settings are remembered SEE WHAT WORKS FOR YOU • Timed reads record your words per minute in boustrophedon and standard mode and chart them over time, so you can compare the two for yourself. PRIVATE BY DESIGN • No account, no analytics, no servers. The text of the pages you read never leaves your browser.
