**Insurance Assistant does the repetitive part of shopping for insurance.** Comparing auto or home quotes means re-typing the same name, date of birth, address, and license number into five different carrier sites — each one a five-to-ten step form. This extension does that typing for you. **How it works** 1. Sign in to the companion web app and fill out your insurance profile once. 2. Open any carrier's quote page. A small in-page prompt asks whether the agent should fill it. 3. Click **Start**. The agent reads the current step's fields, fills them from your saved profile, clicks Continue/Next, waits for the next step, and repeats — through the whole flow. 4. The side panel shows live progress at every step. Stop or resume at any time. **What it will never do** This is the extension's core design principle. The agent **never** clicks submit, buy, pay, or bind. It halts, notifies you, and hands back full control at every one of these: - **CAPTCHAs and human-verification challenges** (reCAPTCHA, hCaptcha, Press & Hold). It stops and waits for you — it never attempts to bypass or solve them. - **Consent gates and legal agreements** — you read and accept these yourself. - **Payment and purchase steps** — you review and complete these yourself. - **Any required field it has no data for** — it does not guess. **About your data** - The agent fills **your own** identity fields (date of birth, SSN, driver's license), because this is you completing your own insurance application. - The agent **never fills and never captures** payment or financial fields (card number, CVV, expiry, bank account, routing number). This is enforced both client-side and server-side. - Non-sensitive fields you complete by hand during a run are learned back into your profile so you don't retype them. Payment fields are never learned. - The form inspector reads field labels, names, and types — it does not read values already present in fields. **Requirements** Requires a free account on the companion Insurance Assistant web app, where you enter your profile once.
