InstaSave
Overview
Bulk-download your saved Instagram collections (media + metadata) entirely locally.
InstaSave lets you bulk-download photos, videos, and carousels from your saved Instagram collections straight to your computer. Everything runs locally in your browser — no cloud servers, no data leaves your machine. Open the side panel with Alt+S (or click the toolbar icon), navigate to your Instagram saved page, and scan your collections. InstaSave scrolls through Instagram's virtualized grid, discovers every post, then fetches full-resolution media URLs via Instagram's GraphQL API. Select individual posts or entire collections, hit download, and your files are saved to organized folders on disk. Key features: - Bulk download across multiple collections in one batch — InstaSave gathers all media URLs upfront, then fires every download in parallel so the batch finishes fast - Photos, videos, and multi-image carousel posts all supported - Pick your own destination folder on disk (uses the browser's folder picker) — or let downloads go to your Chrome Downloads folder under InstaSave/ - Organize downloads into per-collection subfolders (e.g. Travel/, Recipes/) - Auto-scroll and auto-scan mode for hands-free collection scanning - Export post metadata (shortcode, username, caption, likes, - Select/deselect individual posts with an interactive overlay on the Instagram page - Five built-in themes: Classic, Blossom (pink), Sky (blue), Forest (dark green), Ember (dark red/orange),Deep Sea(dark blue) - Side panel UI stays open alongside Instagram for a seamless workflow Free with optional tip: InstaSave is fully free to install and use for everyday downloads. If it saves you time, you can drop $2–3 as a thanks via Gumroad — that unlocks the extras (unlimited bulk collection downloads, auto-scroll, CSV/JSON export, per-collection folders, pick-your-folder destination). Getting started: Install the extension, open Instagram in Chrome, navigate to your saved posts page, and click the InstaSave icon (or press Alt+S) to open the side panel. Hit "Scan Collections" and you're ready to download. Your data stays private. InstaSave runs entirely in your browser — it reads your saved collections page locally through a content script, downloads media directly from Instagram's CDN to your disk, and stores all state in local browser storage. The only external network call is an optional license key check against Gumroad's API if you choose to tip. No analytics, no tracking, no data collection. Not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Meta or Instagram. "Instagram" is a trademark of Meta Platforms, Inc. A few things worth knowing for the listing fields you have open: 1. The "Not affiliated" disclaimer at the end is important — Chrome Web Store reviewers look for it on any extension that interacts with a named third-party service, especially with a Meta property in the name. Helps reduce rejection risk on the "InstaSave" name. 2. Screenshots — you need at least one 1280×800 or 640×400 PNG/JPEG. Easy ones to take: - Side panel showing the collections list scanned with a few selected - Side panel in posts view with the overlay highlighting the Instagram grid - Settings open showing the theme picker + folder picker - The upgrade/tip modal (good for showing the soft-tip framing) - A "downloading…" state with the batch progress
