Keep Instagram Reels playing when you switch tabs, or pop the video into a Picture-in-Picture window. Seek, change volume and speed, like or save with Instagram’s own buttons, and download the video as MP4 when you ask. This is an unofficial extension. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or produced by Meta Platforms, Inc. or Instagram. WHAT IT DOES • Background play — Reels can keep playing after you leave the tab • Picture-in-Picture — Document PiP window (Chrome/Edge 116+) • Auto-follow — optionally switch to the video that is active as you scroll • Controls — seek, volume, playback speed, previous/next • Like & save — uses Instagram’s on-page buttons • Download — saves the current video as an MP4 to your computer (you click Download) KEYBOARD (PiP) • ↑ ↓ next / previous • ← → seek • Space play / pause • D download • Double-tap like HOW TO USE 1. Install, then open instagram.com and play a Reel or video 2. Use the on-page toolbar for Background, Follow, PiP, or Download 3. After you change permissions, remove and re-add the extension if Chrome asks, then refresh Instagram PRIVACY No accounts, ads, or analytics. Preferences stay on your device. Download uses your existing Instagram session in this browser only to fetch the file you requested. Nothing is sent to the developer.
