Overview

AI for Instagram on your PC: ask about your account, draft replies to comments & DMs, schedule posts, reels & stories.

Post to Instagram from your PC: stories with a link, photos, carousels and reels. Add Instagram's own music to stories and reels, post now or schedule on a calendar, and download photos, videos, reels and stories in full quality for free. InstaDesk works right inside instagram.com in Chrome, through the session already in your browser: no phone, no emulator, and it never asks for your password. An independent tool, not made by Instagram. POST FROM YOUR PC • Stories with a link sticker on a photo or a video, dragged where you want it, in your own words if you like • Story sets of up to 10 frames, and stories for close friends only • Share to my story: put your own post or reel on your story as a card • Photos, carousels up to 10 and reels — no phone, no emulator • Drag files straight from your computer, or upload from your desktop in one click • Scrub to pick any frame of your video as the cover • Tag collaborators, add a location, write alt text • Turn off commenting or hide like counts before you post • Put your hashtags in the first comment automatically INSTAGRAM'S OWN MUSIC ON REELS AND STORIES, FREE Many desktop tools charge to add music, or serve you their own stock library. InstaDesk uses Instagram's own tracks. On a reel the song is credited to its audio page, exactly as if you'd posted from the app. On a story the song is mixed into the story itself, and InstaDesk asks for the song's name to be shown; Instagram decides whether it is. • Add music opens the composer straight at the song search • Watching a reel with a sound you want? One button attaches it to your next reel • On a single story, a photo becomes a 5, 10 or 15-second story with the song playing, and a video gets the song laid over it, with or without its own sound. If a story's song is muted, InstaDesk tells you • Preview anything before you commit, and keep a library of the ones you like With Pro: • Sound momentum (two free looks): InstaDesk notes the tracks served to you as you browse and counts how often each one comes back, so you can see what's climbing in your niche • Music studio (one free go): lay your own audio over a clip in the browser before posting WHAT INSTAGRAM.COM'S SCHEDULER STILL WON'T DO Instagram's website can schedule feed posts. These are the gaps it leaves. Scheduling is Pro, and two posts can wait in the queue for free. • Stories. Instagram's website can't schedule a story. InstaDesk can, link sticker and all, and a whole story set too • Bulk. Drop in a batch of files, set one cadence, and queue a week in a single sitting • A month calendar you can actually see. Drag a post to another day to move it • Publish early on one click, or cancel without rebuilding the post • Every attempt is logged — pending, published or failed, with the reason • If Chrome closes while a post is going up, InstaDesk marks the post for you to check and does not upload it again. A post that fails gets three tries in all (a story set says how far it got and waits for you). If Instagram asks the account to slow down, the post waits and tries again; if it asks the account to verify, the post stops and tells you what to do. Logged out, a post waits until you log back in • With two accounts in one Chrome, a post waits until you are back on the account that scheduled it • Your files stay on your own computer until they go out. Nothing is uploaded to a server in advance • Scheduled posts publish while Instagram is open in a tab NEW IN 3.3 • Share to my story. Your own post or reel goes on your story as a card • Story sets. Up to 10 photos or videos posted in order, now or scheduled, each frame with its own link • Your own words on the link sticker. Type up to 30 characters, like SHOP THE LOOK, and the sticker shows them instead of the web address • Links on video stories. A video story can carry the link sticker too, placed where you drag it, with a song in the same go • Japanese and Portuguese (Brazil). A new install asks which language you want, and you can change it under Settings. Almost every menu and panel follows it, the composer too, and Ask answers in it DOWNLOAD IN FULL QUALITY • Save photos, videos, reels and stories at original resolution • Works on posts, permalinks, stories and the scrolling reels feed. On a post, it lists just that post's photos and videos • Files land in a tidy InstaDesk folder in your Downloads KNOW YOUR AUDIENCE • Account insights: your own numbers over time, free • See who doesn't follow you back, by name, not just a number • Track who unfollowed you between scans • Export your followers or following to CSV • Flag likely bot followers (read-only — nothing is removed for you) • A full report on any public account, up to 250 posts deep: engagement against similar-sized accounts, which format earns more, best hours and top posts • A media kit to send brands, built from your own numbers • Lists are read the way a person scrolls them: each list once a day, about 2,000 names a day per account (the day's first follower scan can read up to 5,000), stopping at the first sign of push-back • Unfollower tracking works on accounts up to 5,000 followers. Bot scans and follower exports read up to 5,000 names, a following list over 2,000 isn't exported, and an account over 10,000 followers isn't scanned or exported ASK INSTADESK — THE AI, IF YOU WANT IT Open Ask InstaDesk from More tools, or press Ctrl+Shift+K: a small window that answers from your own record, like who unfollowed you this week or your best post this month. • It acts, on one press. Ask for a plan — a week of posts from a batch of files, a reply to the DM you have open, a comment on your latest post — and every step is shown first with one button to run it. Once you've used a few, you can switch on Run plans without asking; messages, comments, posts, likes and Grow account still wait for the button • Reply drafts (formerly Autopilot), if you choose it. Drafts replies to comments on your posts, in your voice. Under More reply jobs it also drafts DM replies, a set DM for anyone who comments a word you pick, welcomes for new followers and thank-yous for story tags, and it can like comments on your posts. Off until you read and tick a plain risk notice; capped in code at a few replies an hour; everything written down. InstaDesk never sends a DM: you press Instagram's Send. Message requests can't be read on instagram.com right now • What it knows. One local record of your account — followers by day, every post's numbers, who left, what you queued, the sounds in your feed — and an optional About you card so it writes like you. Kept a year, on this computer, with export and forget • Captions without a key. The caption generator and Write with AI run on InstaDesk's model, sharing Ask's free questions; your own key still works and is never counted A BETTER FEED • Hide sponsored posts • A real seek bar on reels and videos • Mobile view on desktop • Hashtag collections: save sets of hashtags and reuse them in one click • Quick DM replies: save the messages you send constantly • Ghost mode (Pro): watch stories without being marked as seen MORE IN THE DESK • Your posting times: set the hours you post and drop a batch of files into them • A caption per post from a spreadsheet: load a CSV and each file gets its own caption and first comment, matched by filename • Pinned posts: keep any photo or reel on your own shelf • Watch up to five other accounts, read once a day, and see how you stack up • Eleven themes that restyle Instagram in your browser only; nobody else sees them SIX THINGS INSTADESK DOES DIFFERENTLY • No watermark. Not on stories, not on anything, not on the free plan • Instagram's own music on reels and stories is free. It is not the thing you pay for • Alt text is written here, on your computer, when you post — not later from your phone • Repost to your story, your grid or a reel without leaving Instagram, with a credit to the creator put in the caption for you • Reply drafts and Grow account have caps in code that nothing can raise, and both stop the first time Instagram pushes back on a like, follow or reply • Nothing comments on or messages anyone until you press Send, apart from the first comment on a post you scheduled. Likes and follows happen only after you've read and ticked a risk notice. InstaDesk does read in the background, slowly: the sounds in your feed, the accounts you watch, your own numbers, and with Reply drafts on, your new comments and DMs GROW ACCOUNT — AND EXACTLY HOW IT BEHAVES InstaDesk can like posts, and follow accounts if you choose, on hashtags you pick. It tells you first whether a hashtag is even winnable for an account your size, so you aren't spending the day on tags where you'll never be seen. Grow account, and Reply drafts' comment likes, act without a click for each action, so both are governed carefully. Both ship switched off, and neither can be turned on until you have read a notice explaining the risk and ticked a box. Grow account runs at 100 or 150 likes a day, with follows at about a third of that, never more than 40, and nothing can take it past 150 likes and 40 follows a day. Reply drafts' comment likes stop at 40 a day. Grow account always warms up, over a week by default. It stops for the day the moment Instagram pushes back on an action, or after two failed tries in a row. Every action is written to the Activity log on your own computer, so you can always see what was done on your behalf. Automated liking, following, commenting and messaging are against Instagram's terms, and a restriction falls on your account, not on ours. That is why both are off by default, why Grow always warms up, why every reply waits for you to press Send, and why both stop at the first sign of trouble. WHAT IT WILL NEVER DO ON ITS OWN Grow account and Reply drafts don't follow or like anything until you have read and ticked their risk notice. A comment reply goes only when you press Send (or Send all). A DM is never sent by InstaDesk: it opens the conversation with the reply typed in (or, for someone you haven't messaged yet, their profile with the reply ready to paste), and you press Instagram's own Send. And nothing goes up on your account that you didn't make or schedule. PRIVACY Your photos, videos, captions, drafts, scheduled posts, sound library, follower lists and the record behind What it knows are stored on your computer, not on a server of ours. Parts of them leave it only in the cases below. There is no InstaDesk account to create, and InstaDesk never asks for your password. What leaves your machine, and it's fair that you know: • Your Instagram account's numeric ID, a random install ID and how many free uses of each Pro tool you have spent go to InstaDesk's relay when you open Instagram and when you use a Pro tool, so a reinstall does not reset them. Once you have opened checkout, your ExtensionPay licence key goes with each AI request too, so the relay can check Pro. The relay keeps those counts, and a daily count of AI requests (against your licence key once you've bought) for 35 days. It does not keep what you ask • Once a day, totals for the day before: how many times the upgrade screen showed and for which tool, how many times checkout opened and on which plan, whether a payment went through, and the version of InstaDesk. Nothing else: no names, no IDs, no Instagram data • When you use Ask, the caption generator, Reply drafts, Write with AI or the weekly summary on InstaDesk's own model, the text it needs goes to the relay and on to the model provider (currently DeepSeek) to be answered: your question, the parts of your record it needs, and the page you have open. For Reply drafts that includes the comments and messages it is drafting replies to and the usernames of the people who wrote them. A question about a post can also send up to three still frames of it to the relay's image model. With your own AI key, that text goes from your browser to your own provider instead • A licence check with ExtensionPay once you have opened checkout. Payment itself goes through Stripe • A request for a small configuration file that says which parts of Instagram have changed. It sends nothing about you • If the music search finds nothing on Instagram, the words you searched go to Apple's iTunes search for 30-second previews • If you uninstall and choose to answer the short form that opens, your answer and your browser's language. No name or email is asked for No analytics services, tracking pixels or ads, and no data sold to anyone. The only counting is the daily totals above, which name no one. PRICING No InstaDesk account to create. No card unless you buy. Publishing is free forever: photos, carousels, reels, stories and story sets, with tagging, locations, alt text, link stickers in your own words, sharing your post to your story, hashtags in the first comment, and real Instagram audio on your reels and stories. Downloads are free forever too, with no limit. So are your own Account insights, the ad blocker, mobile view, video controls, hashtag collections and saved replies. Pro is one plan at $1.99/month, cancel anytime: scheduling with the calendar and bulk queue, full reports on any account and the media kit, unfollower tracking, bot detection, follower export, ghost mode, Music studio, Sound momentum, eleven themes, Grow account, and Ask and Reply drafts on InstaDesk's AI. On a new install, every Pro tool except ghost mode can be tried for free first, on your own account: one unfollower scan, one bot scan, one follower export, one full report or media kit, one Music studio session, two looks at Sound momentum, two posts in the queue at a time (each frame of a story set counts as one), one theme, ten growth actions, and, in all, five AI questions or captions and ten Reply drafts actions (each drafting pass or reply sent counts as one). Pro gets up to 100 AI answers a day. With your own AI key, Ask and Reply drafts are never counted. Checkout runs through ExtensionPay and Stripe, and "Manage subscription" on the Pro page is where you change or cancel the plan. Nothing you buy today will ever be moved behind another plan.
