Connect your Chrome tabs to a paired local MCP client with explicit browser control.

Connect your browser to an MCP-compatible assistant. Instachat Browser provides tools for listing tabs, inspecting page content, taking screenshots, navigating and interacting with pages in your Chrome profile. Install the standalone Instachat Browser Bridge on macOS, then connect a client that supports local stdio MCP. Click Connect in the extension and copy its pairing key into your client's MCP configuration. No Instachat account or Instachat CLI is required for local browser control. Ask your assistant to inspect a chosen tab or help with a browser task. Browser actions use your existing signed-in website sessions, so connect only a client you trust. Your client may send page content and screenshots to its configured model provider under that client's settings and policies. Click Stop browser control to block further commands and invalidate the pairing key. An action already sent to a page may finish. Each new Connect after Stop creates a new key. Separately configured Chrome DevTools connections must be stopped in their own client. The side panel provides connection status, pairing and Stop controls, plus an optional link to Instachat web chat in a normal tab. Embedded signed-in chat and account-bound remote browser control are not included. This release targets macOS Chrome and requires the native bridge. Standard MCP interoperability is tested. Instachat Desktop, Claude Desktop, Cursor and Codex are integration targets; their setup and available features depend on the client. Windows is not supported by this installer; Linux is not yet release-accepted.
