InspectBetter — Debugging, made clear
Overview
Browser Inspect Element 2.0: a clear, fast workspace for elements, network, APIs, storage and debugging.
InspectBetter is a unified developer workspace for inspecting web pages, debugging requests, testing APIs, reviewing browser activity, and recording user flows. Instead of switching between multiple DevTools panels and separate debugging utilities, DevLens brings common development workflows into one modern interface. ## API Testing Send and debug API requests directly from the browser. • Create requests with query parameters, headers, authentication, and request bodies • Validate responses using status, latency, and JSON checks • Extract response values and reuse them in later requests • Generate request code for cURL, JavaScript, Python, and Node.js • Format and validate JSON request and response data • Re-run requests from local request history • Import supported API definitions and request formats ## Element Inspector Inspect and understand page elements with a simpler interface. • Inspect DOM elements and computed styles • Copy CSS selectors, HTML, and computed styling information • Highlight and scroll directly to selected elements • Review dimensions, box model information, layout behavior, and inherited styles • Continue inspecting dynamically updated React, Vue, and JavaScript applications ## Network Activity Review network requests generated by the current page. • Filter requests by resource type • Inspect request and response headers • Review payload size, duration, status, and timing information • Open captured requests directly in the API tester • Compare API responses side-by-side ## User Flow Recording Record debugging sessions and user interactions. DevLens can capture clicks, text input, navigation events, related network activity, and console messages into a structured timeline. Recorded flows can be exported for debugging, QA, documentation, and issue reporting. ## Visual Comparison Capture a page or element and compare it against an earlier baseline. Visual comparison helps identify unexpected layout, styling, and interface changes during development. ## Developer Utilities DevLens also includes lightweight utilities for handling common developer data formats and debugging tasks without leaving the workspace. A built-in command palette provides quick keyboard access to tools, page resources, network activity, storage data, and inspected elements. ## Privacy DevLens is designed to work locally in your browser. • No analytics • No telemetry • No external processing server • No background tracking Page data, debugging information, extension preferences, and locally stored information remain on your device. API requests are only sent to destinations you explicitly choose. ## Keyboard Shortcuts Ctrl + Enter / Cmd + Enter — Send API request Ctrl + K / Cmd + K — Open command palette Ctrl + P / Cmd + P — Search page resources and debugging data DevLens is built for developers who want a cleaner way to inspect, test, debug, and understand web applications from one place.
