TranslatorSage Helper is the companion extension for the TranslatorSage macOS app (https://translatorsage.com). It bridges your video tab to the desktop app so real-time AI dubbing stays in sync with what you are watching. What it does - Reads the currently playing HTML5 video element's playback state (currentTime, duration, paused, seeking, volume, muted, readyState, videoWidth, videoHeight). - Adjusts the tab's video volume (ducking) so the dubbed voice track produced by the desktop app does not collide with the original audio. - Sends the tab URL and page title to the desktop app so it can identify the piece of content you are watching. That is the entire scope. The extension is a thin bridge; all translation and dubbing happens on your own Mac. Privacy The only network calls this extension makes are to 127.0.0.1:8765, which is the local TranslatorSage desktop sidecar running on your own machine.
