YouTube is great when you arrive knowing what you want to watch. It's the feed, the sidebar, the end screen and Shorts that turn one video into an hour. Inkblocks Focus removes those, and only those. WHAT IT HIDES • The homepage feed — replaced with a single line, or your subscriptions if you prefer • Suggested videos beside the player and the grid at the end of a video • Shorts: the shelf, the thumbnails, the sidebar entry and channel Shorts tabs • Autoplay — turned back off whenever YouTube turns it on WHAT STILL WORKS Search. Subscriptions. Channels. Playlists. Comments. Everything you go to YouTube for on purpose. A Shorts link a friend sends you still plays — in the normal player, not the swipe feed. Back takes you where you came from. TWO PRESETS, OR YOUR OWN MIX "No feeds" hides everything the algorithm picks. "Just no Shorts" keeps the feed and removes Shorts. Or set the switches however you like — including, if you want it, hiding the Subscriptions grid too. "Pause 15 min" turns it all off and back on by itself. PRIVATE BY DESIGN No account. No analytics. No network requests, ever. Your settings sync through your browser and nothing else leaves it. BUILT TO KEEP WORKING YouTube changes its layout constantly and most extensions like this quietly break. Inkblocks Focus checks its own rules every night against live YouTube, and if one stops matching in your browser, it switches that rule off rather than hiding the wrong thing — and tells you. It does not block ads, and never will. That's a different promise, made by different tools, and it works alongside them.
