Hi there! I think this is a very useful tool, and it turns all the Chinese website as a jyutping textbook, so we know how to pronounce those words. I am also using this tool to teach my canadian friends Cantonese pronunciation. The only questions i had was the security and privacy, because there are not much download and not sure about the feedbacks yet. Hello Joey, thank you for your feedback! For security concerns, this extension is completely open-sourced on GitHub, you can check out all the source codes here: https://github.com/CanCLID/inject-jyutping . So there is nothing to be worried about. As for the Jyutping input tools, unfortunately Google doesn't have an api for customizing the input tool, so there is no way for us to make an Jyutping input extension. There is an online Jyutping input method here and maybe you can use it as an alternative: jyutping.com . But please be noted that this is not affiliated with our team and we have no idea on the quality of its data. After all we still recommend installing rime-cantonese since it is the most suitable way for typing in Jyutping.

As someone who sucks at Cantonese but is actively trying to improve, this is a god send! Thank you so much for creating this extension! A few room for improvements; 1) Perhaps add a slight para in description asking users to refresh the site after enabling jyutping 2) Ability to export highlighted regions of text into notepad or new tab so the website won't lag?

Hi Geoffrey, thank you for your feedback and we are really happy that you enjoy this extension! For 1), we have fixed it in version 0.2.2, please update and check it out. For 2), could you please explain what "so the website won't lag" is? Do you mean adding a feature to export a selected paragraph of text to a new tab, displaying pure texts annotated with Jyutping, just like the "reading mode" in browsers?
