Overview
Capture director & client spotting notes from any web page straight into a Spotsheet project.
Ingest to Spotsheet pulls spotting notes off any web page and drops them into a Spotsheet project as cues. Select the director's or client's notes wherever they live (an email, a Google Doc, a PDF preview, a review-tool comment thread), click the toolbar button, and the extension reads your selection, finds a timecode on each line, guesses a category (FX, dialogue, music, foley, backgrounds), and sends them into your project. Any line missing an hour is anchored to the reel and flagged, so nothing gets silently dropped. Nothing runs on a server and no note leaves your session. The parser is a local rule set. When notes are messy and you want a language model to clean them up first, there is a bring-your-own option: copy a ready-made prompt, run it in your own ChatGPT or Claude, paste the numbered reply back, and it reconciles line by line. Stay logged into spotsheetpost.com in the same browser and the extension uses that session. There is nothing else to set up. Spotsheet is a free spotting and cueing tool for sound editors.
