Ingam — check before you pay

A second look right before money moves. Flags brand-new sellers, look-alike stores and checkouts that pay someone else.

Ingam checks the payment, not just the site. When you press "Pay now" or "Place order", Ingam takes one second to check who is about to receive your money, and answers in one of three ways: - Allow: a green seal, and the payment continues as usual. - Review: one clear question, e.g. "This seller is brand new (registered 6 days ago). Pay $64.99 anyway?" - Block: the payment stops, with the reason. WHAT THE FREE SEAL CATCHES - Brand-new sellers: most fake stores are days old. - Look-alike names: swapped letters (amaz0n), a brand plus a friendly word, a brand hidden in a subdomain. - Borrowed reputation: a brand name opened on a shop builder or free hosting (e.g. apple-outlet.myshopify.com). Ingam judges the store, not the platform. - Swapped payees: the page looks like the store, but the money goes to an unrelated site. - Hidden instructions for AI agents: text that tells shopping assistants to pay someone else. WHY IT'S DIFFERENT Most scam blockers check every page against lists of reported sites, so a scam store built yesterday passes until someone gets burned. Ingam runs only at the pay button and trusts only what can't be faked overnight: years online, real traffic, the seller's own payment declaration, and your own past payments.
