Confirms a clean browser environment for Board Infinity and Infylearn proctored assessments.

InfyLearn Exam Guard is a companion extension for learners taking proctored assessments on Board Infinity and InfyLearn. It does one thing: it lets the assessment page confirm that your browser is in a clean, exam-ready state before your test begins. WHAT IT DOES - Checks that this extension is installed and running, so the assessment page can unlock the test. - Checks whether any other third-party extension is installed alongside it, and names the ones you need to remove or disable before starting. - Shows you exactly what it sees. The popup lists every extension, app and theme in your browser, with its version, install source and enabled state — the same information the check is based on. Nothing is hidden from you. - Lets you turn other extensions off yourself, from the popup, so you can get to a clean state without hunting through chrome://extensions. - Updates live. Install or remove something mid-check and the verdict re-evaluates immediately, so the assessment page unblocks as soon as your browser is clean. WHAT IT DOES NOT DO - It does not read the pages you visit. It has no content scripts and no host permissions for any website. - It does not see your browsing history, open tabs, keystrokes, clipboard, files, webcam, microphone or screen. - It makes no network requests of its own. There is no analytics, no telemetry and no third-party SDK in this extension. - It cannot uninstall or silently disable anything. The assessment page can learn that another extension is in the way; only you can remove it. WHERE YOUR DATA GOES The extension replies only to pages served over HTTPS from boardinfinity.com or infylearn.com and their subdomains. Chrome enforces this at the browser level, and the extension verifies the requesting origin a second time before answering. No other website can request anything from it. The reply contains the integrity verdict, install counts, and for each installed item its ID, name, version, enabled state, type, install source and homepage URL. Each item's declared permissions and host permissions are deliberately excluded — those never leave your device. One snapshot of this list is kept in local browser storage to render the popup and the toolbar badge. Uninstalling the extension deletes it. WHO IT IS FOR Learners enrolled in a Board Infinity or InfyLearn programme that includes a proctored assessment. Outside those sites the extension does nothing at all.
