InfoDefenders Tool Discovery helps organizations governed by InfoDefenders detect which AI tools employees use in the browser. Who this is for IT, security, and compliance teams using InfoDefenders on a Professional plan. Your organization admin configures the extension with a discovery token from the InfoDefenders dashboard. What it collects Hostname of visited AI tool domains from a fixed watch list (e.g. chatgpt.com, claude.ai, copilot.microsoft.com) Timestamp of each visit (deduplicated to at most one signal per domain per 30 minutes) What it does not collect Full URLs or URL paths Page titles or page content Form data, passwords, or credentials User identity (name, email, account) Browsing history outside the configured AI tool domain list General GitHub or Microsoft browsing (only Copilot-specific subdomains such as copilot.github.com and copilot.microsoft.com are monitored) Data is sent only to your organization's InfoDefenders API endpoint over HTTPS when a valid discovery token is configured. Setup Sign in to InfoDefenders → Settings → Integrations. Copy your discovery token. Open this extension's options and paste the token (API URL defaults to https://app.infodefenders.com). For managed browsers, deploy via Chrome group policy (ExtensionInstallForcelist) using the extension ID from the store listing.
