Overview
Check if pages are indexed by Google. Single page, outbound links, or batch check.
Quickly find out whether a page is indexed by Google, straight from your browser. Whether you're auditing a client site, chasing a deindexing issue, or validating a fresh publish, IndexCheckr gives you a reliable answer in seconds — without running a manual site: search for every URL. What you can do The extension offers three checking modes, each one click away: Page — Check the index status of the page you're currently viewing. Links — Extract every outbound link from the current page and check them all at once. Perfect for vetting link-building targets, partner pages, or your own internal linking. Bulk — Paste a list of URLs (one per line) and get indexation results for the whole batch. Export the results as CSV when you're done. Results are clean, colour-coded, and can be cleared or exported anytime. Getting started Install the extension and open the popup from your toolbar. Head to the Settings tab and paste your IndexCheckr API token. That's it — you're ready to check. Your remaining credit balance is shown in the header so you always know where you stand. Don't have an account yet? Create a free IndexCheckr account and get 50 free credits to try the extension — no credit card required. Why IndexCheckr? IndexCheckr is a full-featured SEO indexing platform: on top of index checking, it automates indexing submissions to multiple third-party services, monitors sitemaps, and tracks indexation over time. This extension is the fastest way to tap into that same checking engine from anywhere on the web. Privacy The extension only communicates with indexcheckr.com using your personal API token. URLs you check are processed to return their index status and aren't shared with third parties beyond what's required to perform the check. FAQ What does "indexed by Google" actually mean? A page is indexed when Google has crawled it and added it to its search database, making it eligible to appear in search results. If a page isn't indexed, it can't rank — so checking index status is one of the first things to verify when a page isn't getting traffic. How does the extension check index status? IndexCheckr queries Google on your behalf through its own infrastructure and parses the result. To maximise reliability, two independent checks are performed for every URL — this catches false negatives caused by transient Google responses (CAPTCHAs, partial SERPs, regional variations) and gives you a much more trustworthy answer than a single lookup. It's also more accurate than running a site:url search yourself, because proxies, rate limits, and parsing edge cases are handled behind the scenes. Do I need an IndexCheckr account? Yes. The extension connects to the IndexCheckr API using a personal token you generate from your account. Creating an account is free and includes 50 credits so you can try the extension without paying. What's a credit? Each URL you check consumes one credit. The Page tab uses 1 credit per check, Links and Bulk use 1 credit per URL in the batch. Your remaining balance is always visible in the popup header. Where do I find my API token? Log in to indexcheckr.com, open your account settings, and copy the API token. Paste it into the Settings tab of the extension and hit Save. Can I check URLs from any website? Yes. The Page and Links tabs work on whichever tab you're viewing. The Bulk tab accepts any URLs you paste, regardless of where you are. How accurate are the results? Very accurate — the extension uses the same checking engine that powers IndexCheckr's monitoring platform, which is used daily by SEO professionals and agencies. Does the extension store my browsing data? No. The extension only sends the URLs you explicitly ask it to check. It doesn't track your browsing history or read page content beyond extracting outbound links when you click Check outbound links. Can I export my results? Yes. The Links and Bulk tabs include a CSV export button once results are ready. I removed my token by mistake — will I lose my credits? No. Credits live on your IndexCheckr account, not in the extension. Pasting your token back in restores access instantly.
